Terms of Use
Specialist Snapshot is a private referral-intelligence resource for verified Alberta family physicians. It is not a public review site, patient resource, complaint platform, referral submission system, or source of medical advice.
1. Eligibility
Access is invite-only. You may use Specialist Snapshot only if you are an Alberta family physician, your account has been approved by an administrator, and your use is for professional referral-planning purposes.
You must provide accurate account and application information, keep your sign-in credentials private, and promptly notify the administrator if your account information or eligibility changes.
2. Professional Use Only
The service supports referral decision-making when you do not already know who to refer to. It does not replace your own clinical judgment, official referral requirements, specialist communications, or regulatory reporting obligations.
You must verify current referral requirements before referring. If you have a patient-safety concern, use the appropriate clinic, health-system, or regulatory channel instead of using this service as a complaint mechanism.
3. Structured Ratings
You may submit or update one active structured rating per specialist only after personally referring at least one patient to that specialist. Ratings must be based on your own professional experience and must use the structured fields provided by the service.
You must not submit patient-identifying information, attempt to identify another rating submitter, manipulate ratings, harass another physician, or share screenshots or exported information in a way that undermines privacy or professional trust.
4. Anonymity And Admin Review
Ratings are anonymous to ordinary users. A designated highest-trust administrator may reveal submitter identity only for a documented abuse, harassment, suspicious manipulation, account-blocking, or platform-misuse investigation. Identity reveal actions must be audited.
5. Listing Data
Specialist listing details are sourced from Alberta Referral Directory where available and are shown with source attribution. Listing details may be outdated, incomplete, or inaccurate. Formal listing corrections should go through Alberta Referral Directory.
Specialist Snapshot is independent from Alberta Health Services, Alberta Referral Directory, and the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta unless a written relationship is later published.
6. Account Controls
Specialist Snapshot may deny, suspend, or revoke access for ineligible users, inaccurate applications, privacy-risk behaviour, abuse, attempted submitter identification, misuse of listing data, or violation of these terms.
7. No Warranty
The service is provided as-is. Specialist Snapshot does not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, complete listing data, current referral requirements, or any referral outcome.
8. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, how long it is retained, and how to request access, correction, or deletion where available.
9. Changes
These terms may be updated before or after launch. Material changes should be dated and communicated to approved users before continued use is required.
10. Contact
For access, privacy, correction, dispute, or removal requests, contact the site administrator using the owner-approved support address provided with your invite or account approval.
